I am growing , glowing , flowing with the rhythm of life as I have a new resilient soul flourishing inside of me
I am protecting my family cause this world is full of people fueled off of seeing others hurting and crying out so desperately fighting all of this unnecessary oppression
Too often shunned by those who don't face injustice to our degree
I'm not seeking to be saved by anyone especially those who come from a bloodline of the oppressors
It's been one of the ultimate sacrifices to avoid unnecessary rage and depression
I'm not keeping my foot off of their necks
Imma keep fighting all odds and playing the cards that I've been dealt
I'm always observing and keeping my mind open cause knowledge is power , and I know for sure the enemy is powerless the moment I fight back with education rather than violence
They don't wanna see us living our best lives with well deserved reparations
But we are not the generation to back down no matter the agendas thrown at us to cause havoc in our spirits , minds , and souls
Everywhere I go I am holding my head high with my luxurious curls flowing in the wind as the sun shines on all of my melanin
I am not ashamed of my ethnicity and culture
