Phone calls that can
last for hours,
and butterflies that can
go on for days.
With a smile that spreads on
my face at the mere
mention of your name.
Words on the phone are
so easy now,
while they were hard to
even form in past days.
Conversations that
just flow, and I'm not
even thinking "what should
I say".
Laughter and excitement that
had left me so long ago,
now fill my heart
and my soul.
Never ending amazement of
things that are shared,
all while never crossing paths with you in yesteryears.
First meeting and still never
skipping a beat,
you'd think there was a
phone line inbetween.
A Gentleman, Kindness, Comedian, and Smart,
are words I think of when
you cross my heart!
I know that if life could
really be like this, then
the hard times couldn't be
so hard and I could easily
knock down the walls
that I've built.
In this world that's
made for two,
I'd never be lonely, I'd
never be blue, but
I'd have a smile on my face
and walk hand in hand
beside you!
