It was many years ago
When a man moved close by
He didn't know me nor I him
But we were similar to my surprise
We soon found out that
We both enjoyed a cold beer
We both played cribbage
Both enjoy herbs too it appeared
We began to hang out
And talk about random things
We began talking about family
And then our connection did begin
We then realized very soon
That both our grandparents
Grew up together as children
That is a great coincidence
This was simple to solve now
His grandpa and my grandma
They are brother and sister , and
He is a cousin from around Ottawa
After many years of hanging out
I am sad to hear he's going back
Have a safe trip there cousin ,
