Night

The moon sneaks in through the long white drape
Brushes my face like the touch of a babe
Millions of diamonds in the orb of my eye
The breeze tells a secret, the drapes heave a sigh
A wise owl hoots on the old oak tree
A little mouse scoots in a wild wild spree
The fish in the pond is a blob of silver
Leaps in the air, keeps gasping forever
The moonflower vine drops a small white bud
Twirls in the air, lands gently on the mud
The scent wafts in, lifts me off the ground
Drops me on a cloud, a sleep very sound
