Trapped somewhere in the in-between
In the grey where truths are unseen
And rising from the dark and deep
Is where a domain of evil often creaps
And the terrors of a midnight scream
Is the echoing of a nightmarish dream
But the comfort from a mother's hand
Has brought paralysis to a sudden end
But darkness lingers for days to come
Like a stranger you don't feel at home
As she holds you in her loving embrace
Knowing there's nothing you can't face
