It’s all become quite clear
No tree for me this year
I didn’t book my turkey
Or order extra beer
You won’t see lights round my window
Together with sticky fake snow
No sign post outside my front door
Showing Santa the way to go
No presents In the corner
Or Egg Nog in the side
No supplement from Asda
The Christmas Dinner Guide
I won’t be searching for decs
That I stored away last year
And Rudolf the red nose reindeer
You definitely won’t hear
There won’t be any movies
Not on this TV
No Only Fools and Horses
Definitely no BBC
Now you may call me grumpy
Or have another name
But let me explain one thing
I’m jumping on the train
I’m off to see my daughter
And her family that’s grown
Three Grandkids around me
So no Christmas all alone
It’s going to be quite hectic
And probably quite loud
But it’s Christmas with my family
Is there any better crowd? ♥️
