The leaves are losing their grip already
Falling like we do for eachother
I told them to hold fast and steady
But they let go in a mesmerizing choreographed dance of september
One by one they fall
The trees will soon have nothing at all
We may be entering a new spring
But autumn creeps
Like a single leaf
The weight of a feather
Floating down before my eyes
As if to remind
There is no force greater than time
No love could be as determined to leap
Not the push and the pull that's between you and me
We're like winter and summer, but not fall.
