"No Model's"

I watched as men fell down and met with their doom
Assume what you want but it brought me to new prospectives
Now they're gone and didn't leave no love letters behind
Just their last screams and blood stains on their sweaters
I watched as dope fiends croked due to wicked drug dealers
Death is always around and my chance of catching it is higher
Living down in the slums where the streets are filled with tombs
Automatic gun fire taking flight and making someones body lighter
Living this long doesn't make me a fighter but another day survivor
If I said I ain't cried to losing homies then I'd be a liar
I'm stuck in a web and the gangs and government's the spider
Looking at the crosses around my spot makes me feel so uninspired
Thinking as a people we should be much more higher
Glad to say Betty Gallardo fixed up our crime rate
Watching another youth die off just can't be a part of our fate
We suffer because we have no such thing as role models
We just had dealers, thugs, money and hoes to look up too
Even Henry Cejudo should be known for a great example
But we're to blind to look for the light so we stay in the dark
It's the reason why so many die at our local park
Mc Magic came from the bottom and we already forgot about him
Guess we're stuck looking up to the homies locked up in the pin
I wish we would have loaded our minds and not our straps
Busting knowledge and not our nines at one another
Wish I could call my enemy something better like brother
We all fail to see that we're the monster to our own people
If you ain't got no role models then look up to yourselfs but it's not that simple.
