When I was a child my life was wild
There were many people
that made me smile
They guided me
through life's twists and turns
From nicks and scratches
to bad burns
You were always there when I needed you most
Let us not forget the fight I lost to the post
I remember that day
like it was yesterday
it was holiday
around the month May
I was walking w Jesse
fighting over the ball
I was tugging on it
she let go
which caused me to fall
OH MY GOD LOOK AT ALL THIS BLOOD!
Go get someone quick! get me out of the mud
this wasn't a scam nor a trick
I needed help bad
and I needed it quick!
I was bleeding bad
as you came to my rescue
you were calm and patient
and knew just what to do
I think your job that day
was to keep me calm
You stood by my side
and held my palm
You stood there that day
telling me it would be ok
that mom n dad
were waiting without delay
You proved a lot to me that that day
you loved me like a son
every step of the way
Over the years
we have seen it all
and experienced so much
you always knew
how to calm me down
Some say it's your touch
when mom couldn't be there
you made sure to be
And no matter how old I get
You gave me confidence
and just let me be me
for you will always be
My one and only Aunt Dee!
