Mother told me to pray
Just to become somebody
So I fasted and prayed
I joined the praying nations
Churches many than that of Israel
Yet I am nobody
Father said it's Education
All u need to be somebody
Bought books when clothed in rags
Education is in the next compound
Employment is aloof
Empowerment stood so far away
I am nobody
Uncle's adviced entrepreneurship
Not easy to be somebody
I doubled my hustles
Became master in the game
Even as a child of nobody
Dressed rich to meet the client
Packaging is the soul of biz
Gave the contract to their son
Since I am nobody
We learned a craft too
Just to become somebody
Self-made to be free from agony
Prayerful, Educated, Entrepreneur and Craftman
it wasn't easy at all
At last !!! I became somebody
Did I ?
I became a suspect
Brutalized and assaulted
He killed the other one
Said who will do anything after all
Son of nobody, you are nobody
Don't forget
I watched life living one's body
Mental state in a mess
All it's reasoning is negative
A beeping alert saying
