Norms

Excuse me for saying this,
I know I am but a woman, sitting down with a pink puffy skirt on
But girls never hurt me like you did
This is to all the men
Let’s say boys
The intellectual size of a pea
When you know someone doesn’t want you
So you steal it
They will say “you stole my heart”
But I will say “you stole my body, my mind, and the light in my eyes”
i’m not here for a pity
I’m here to say women seeped into my brain with words of shame
Building trauma but not touching me
Do you feel entitled to my body?
As you are, the strong, powerful Man
And I am, the weak, child bearing Woman
I mean society can only go so long
without the weak and strong
Battling
Not to win but to survive
And when the undertaker sees her body
Mangled like trash, he says “well at least she fought back”
