Not Alone But Lonely

I'm not alone, but yet I am
All around me chaos ensues
There is always something to do.
My family, my work, my self
I'm not alone, but yet I am.
What do you do when you've lost strength to carry you through?
There are nothing but glances, fake smiles to see your through.
You were once in love, are you still? It seems like the there is no more chase, there is no more thrill.
Life has changed, you must adult
Your family needs you to be "grown up".
Your home needs attention, dishes, laundry, projects et' al.
Is there any thrill left? Any at all?
All the fussing and silence, looking to your phone for comfort. Hoping to find someone who understands you. A friend who you can speak to.
Your friend tells their spouse and in turn comes to you. Now there is absolutely no one... population you.
You keep silent, taking it all end. Hoping one day, it will all end. Maybe a wreck and you've crashed off the road, maybe some act of nature and you'd be free to go.
But then you remember there is one worth fighting for, she needs her mommy and she'd miss you forevermore. So, you decide she is worth it, she is why you stay no matter what battles you battle today.
You try to reach out to others who push your concerns and worries away so in your continued battle, alone you stay.
To tell your spouse won't mean much. You've tried and they are cold to the touch. They ask what is wrong? are you okay? You then share and they are offended and turn away.
Yes we can divorce, I understand but I also made a serious commitment to him. It'll get easier, I'm sure it will. We are enduring what many long lasting marriage have fulfilled.
But right now I'm not alone, but I'm lonely and there is ONE whom I can turn to and HE comforts me so I'm not alone, because we are Two.
