The echoing voices from the hall
That pear their ears when nightfall.
The raging of the sea, sounding like music
Making most of them feel homesick.
The scars of a bullwhip on their body
As their masters take them as nobody.
The tears in their eyes
As they wish to die.
The fear they live with every day
Because they could be killed if they disobey.
The pain that runs in their veins
As they were held in chains.
They tried to escape
But there was neither land nor cape.
So they jumped in the sea
Thinking that they could be free.
But then, they committed suicide
Without chance, nor time, to decide.
But that the life they face on their way
And throughout their days.
And it was not just screaming and pain
But death, in chains, as they were held to slavery.
