"Not looking for anything you're not willing to give. I've come to the realization that the only way we can get along is what we're willing to give. True, at times my intentions are only questionable to only me, but now I see that what you give, if it's from the heart, is acceptable all that other shit, you can keep. Times I ask myself why am I so willing to give my all for people, when it comes to me, I have to wait my turn. My conclusion is it's what's rooted in the base of your being, nothing you can escape or deny. So, to keep myself from being hurt or resentful, is not look for anything that nobody's willing to give. Took awhile to come to this conclusion, cause everyday I struggle with the whispers of what I did for someone, and they don't give me that same respect. More and more, I'm accepting this as who I am, not for pats on the back, or to say "I" but what God has blessed me to give to the next. That's who I am."
