Remember when young
Pumpkin's were put on display
Happy songs were sung
That chased the ghosts away,
The pumpkins of today
Are bright and colourful
Compared to yesterday
Pumpkins were rather dull,
Decorations are on the shelf
Hoping to bring good cheer
Look into the self
Be glad this time of year,
For many Halloween means nought
At not as much as before
Seems no matter what was bought
Sellers cry for more,
Buy this buy that
One will look so good
In a witch's black hat
Oh, yeah, That'll set the mood.
Pumpkin will be in a pie
Add slices of green apples
Kinda pleasing to the eye
Here, take a few samples,
Oh, memories of Halloween
Will occupy the mind no more
Tis all but a past dream
Now one can close the door.
