Death tugs on my subconscious,
As if the lack of it was evident!
How to be forever endearing,
When all are consumed and reeling?
My dreams are of continuous death,
My reality is numb against war,
A martyr has fallen,
They stopped the missile's fall,
The world is infected,
Oh, but is that all?!
The rose of our youth is dripping with blood,
Exhausted and bruised and wrongfully plucked!
Is this what the end of days look like?
Although I have never believed religion's lies,
Yet, the words seem to make some sense now,
As all seeps away, gathering in an apocalyptic cloud..
