Oblivious

Oblivious

Oblivious

He went to the park to watch the geese

Sat on the bench and took out some bread

As he was breaking them into pieces

He was not aware of the person just ahead

A woman was watching him discreetly

Her eyes were fixated upon this man

Oblivious to the fact she noticed him

He quietly fed the birds from his hand

Unaware of this as he talked to the geese

She gradually moved toward his direction

Her gaze upon him was completely subtle

She was in a trance, perhaps a connection

She sat down on the bench beside him

She tried to get the courage to say hey

Still the man had not seen her right there

Then sudden nervousness set in right away

Her hands became clammy and perspired

A million reactions went through her head

Not one thought she could see being positive

The man has no clue, still calmly feeding bread

Then quickly the woman jumped up and ran

Her over thinking caused her to run fast

She went home so upset that she lost courage

Oblivious him and her nervous, crossed paths

Sadly, neither will ever know each other
