I checked it today,
Not only once but twice.
I went ahead and checked it a third time,
just to feel more secure in life.
I thought about it today
Not just once, or three times.
It replayed the entire day.
I live fearful today,
Not just for today but tomorrow too.
Even the next,
My mind is clock work, it doesn’t rest.
They think OCD is just cleaning endlessly.
Organizing, keeping things afloat.
There is so much more to this,
you need to know.
Sadly it’s a disease,
It controls and keeps you low.
Repetitive, thoughts 24/7 on the go.
Did I lock the door?
Someone might break in.
Did I unplug everything from the walls?
The house might catch fire.
I need to call my kids.
This could be the last day I ever see them again.
Flashing images, replay.
Like it’s my punctuality.
Thoughts of fatality.
Nothing,
No one can fix the way I think.
This is the life of OCD.
