Oft Times I Wonder

Oft times I wonder if
I were a gift under a tree
Would I be played with often?
Set aside as a forgotten memory?
Would I be regifted every year?
Passed on as I wore out
To another then another hand
In time finally tossed without doubt.
There is a gift we can have
This and future year's to come
A gift that doesn't wear out
A gift from our special someone,
The gift comes from above
A gift given out of love
A gift that is given for free
Yes, Even sinners like me,
To receive this gift
Repeat and believe
The gift of eternal salvation
Is honestly given for free.
Worry not about the gifts
Clustered neath you tree
Accept the gift that won't wear out
A gift that will eternally be,
This gift? From whom could it be
Tis Jesus our Lord and Saviour
Harken as He calls out to thee
Harken as He calls out to thee.
