Don't let go of my hand, daddy , because I am scared.
If you love your little girl, you will show you cared.
Scare away all the monsters in my closet so I can fall asleep at night.
If I move they may bite,
The shadows on the wall, scare me
Please daddy, set them free.
When I am alone that is when they come out to play.
If I am scared that is not okay.
I told them that my daddy will scare them away.
But I hear them laugh, when i pray.
Please daddy, hold me tight in your arms.
Keep me safe from harm,
I don't like the games they play,
They grab my pillows away.
I think they want me to chase them,
But scary as they may be, this nightmare has to end.
They keep telling me that they are my friends.
If they were my friend, they wouldn't make me cry.
Oh daddy, I just want to die.
