Waiting for a friend
Nine thirty PM
Any time now
He should show before ten
A friend from way back
When we were young
Meeting to talk
And maybe have a bit of fun
We played ball hockey
In the old parking lot
Few cars on sunday
It was seldom we had to pause
We always had a beer
Fridays or Saturdays
Turn on the stereo
Rock music would play
Twenty years later now
And still good friends
At times a bit rocky
And we still make amends
