'On The Look Out'

The scene began, I was floating in the air.
I landed on the ground in front of her, she wore a gown so rare.
She didn't want to entice, she was all covered up.
She intuitively understood my pain, all my life I suffered enough.
(We sat at the nearest table.
I needed her to listen, she was able).
I was born in Trenton, arrested-development brought me here.
Rappers raised me, the music caught my tears.
Extrasensory, a gift that felt like a disposition.
Misguided until I was enlightened, the rebirth made me realize this cold existence.
The process of maturation should be.. Observed like the growth of a seed..
In the womb. When you reach a rough.. Patch in life, we age more & grow less when the going gets tough.
A spiritual act, is to write a poem.
I wrote a lyrical map, to scale how I've grown.
I've reached ascension, therefore you appeared.
A student to love, my experience with you will break the ceiling, then I'll see it all clear.
A level of calm, unfelt untold.
Because you undressed yourself, an unveiled soul.
Not because misery loves company, not because - physically you'll be the one for me, but because I wasn't meant to be alone.
The scene ended, I awoke from the dream.
I'm on edge, waiting for her to alert my senses, in this awakening.
