We was supposed to be a family,

We should've been happy together,
I should have been there when I wasn't,
Everything was supposed to make sense,
But unfortunately it doesn't,
I'm supposed to have my family,
My children is supposed to have their dad,
I was supposed to be the one for you,
The hero that kept our family from being sad,
I should've never lost all those years,
And I'll never come close to having them back,
It kills me inside knowing all that time,
Will be chunks of me I'll always lack,
If I could go back I'd save us all,
Because nothing has ever hurt so bad,
Then being stuck here reminiscing,
Of the family I once had.
