Once upon a time, I remember the joy of children
Smiling and playing gracefully and happily on the streets
The roads that lead home are beautiful with daisies
I remember the joy when twilight approaches
All was perfect even though there was a little to worry about
Then the night came like a clueless and misguided horse
Taking away all the smiles from the faces of the children
Shattering hopes of a tomorrow which was never promised
The beauty of the street turned into blood from the slayed souls
Mothers taken away from their kids
Fathers becoming armoury for their loved ones
All the laughters from the beautiful and harmless babies turned into tears
Tears of pain and bitterness caused by those entrusted with peace
Jeopardizing the joy of the innocent without regarding them
What's their wrong
The nation is now wrecked like scraps
No peace and joy
The days are now longer than expected
The nights look more and more scarier
Survivors live on the brink of death
Just hoping and praying for all the violence and tribulations to disappear
The once peaceful and loving land is now a land of wailing and weeping
No hopes and dreams
The joy of yesterday can only be remembered
Once upon a time there was joy
Nothing can bring same joy back.
