Once upon a time
Unity became a compulsion
Reality hurting more than expectation
Agitation slowly gave birth to secession
The battle for territories seemed mandatory
And integrity deemed more precious
In a twinkle of an eye they arrived
Heavily pained by the colours of our flag
Victory lies in the dirty Chambers of sacrifice
Sparing not even our mothers or children
Painting our towns with our own blood
Our malnourished bodies stood defenseless
To their bullets and instruments of war
But defending our land was priceless
Our streets stayed littered by our dead bodies
The world stood watching our massacre
Victory was like a mirage near but yet very far
Hope had dwindled down along side our numbers
As we saw our fathers and brothers fell to flying bullets
Fate gave leverage to our aggressive enemies
As our land was bruised and brought to its knees
Sending the cold shivers of defeat down all our spines
With our captain forced to seek asylum elsewhere
And our backs laid against the thorny walls
Our great ship capsized to the storms of war
