One Day in Sheikh Jarrah...

Today me and my family are beneath the sky
Yesterday we had a small house nearby
I lived in Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood
We were happy with our little livelihood
Six in total made my family
Two sisters, Pa, Ma, Grand Pa and Me
No luxuries, no comforts but love was in abundance
We lead our lives with gratitude, hope and transcendence
One day our peace and happiness was hijacked
By the Israeli settlers we were attacked
My Pa and Grand Pa were beaten and stabbed
While rest of us were mercilessly dragged
Elder sister let loose, confronted and tried to save
The attackers pepper sprayed on her face
Rest of them started to throw out our belongings
To stop them, I shot a stone by a sling
They held me and hit with riffle buttock
So hard that I wasn't able to walk
They bulldozed our house to rubble
We couldn't save it with all the struggle
And now we are under the sky
But our hopes are still high
As they can't bulldoze our courage
In them I can see their cowardice
The Ummah is silent and sleeping
No one can listen to our weeping
But Allah SWT is watching all
Every crime of their's, big ar small
In the name Allah we live and die
InshaaAllah He will Listen to our cry
In front of Him we kneel down and beg
"Oh Allah we ask you to restrain them by their neck-
And we seek refuge in you from their evil"
He will Hear, though to Ummah our suffering are not audible!
