I set my mindset straight,
To tell you no lie,
I put aside my ego and pride,
So please be weary of this surprise.
I miss your voice,
I miss your smile,
That sound you make,
When I make you laugh.
It's hard to erase,
The things we embraced,
Your soothing words
Your glowing chicks
That brought life to me
When my lungs went to sleep.
You were my light,
When all was dark,
You gave me peace,
That's all I need,
Our bond was really deep,
Or so it seemed.
If I had one last call to make,
Before the soil called my body to rest,
I'd use my last breath to tell you how I felt,
And just make sure you know that...
You everything God stands for,
& that I love you now until eternity!
