We are one descendant here on earth
In one man's likeness are we created
Our complexion speaks more of our selfhood
Our lineages and myths tell more about us
We are one family known as AFRICA.
But, why sudden segregation?
Why a sudden change amongst us?
I thought we are one big descendant
Living together in oneness and love.
But what suddenly transformed our hearts?
Remember this today Africa
That we can run our race separately
Achieve goals individually
Yes, we can!
But remember this "a tree cannot make a forest"
When we are down and need uplifting
Can we still call on one another as a clan?
Our lives are not bound together with an oath
Neither our corpses
But it is of great value when we run the race together
Achieve the goals together and trample upon
racism and tribalism
Then with one voice to call on our ancestors
To re-sow our garment of Love, Unity and peace
For us all just like then
Because none of us is as good as
All of us put together.
