Open my eyes to see you there,
You're eyes piercing through me like you've known me all along, a single tear falls and I wonder where have you been all along,I open my mouth to say how I've felt all this time, yet just as I feel like a feather drifting through the wind, my heart aches and crashes down to earth, I try to breath and collect all my pieces off the ground but i am paralyzed by fear, you look at me and smile, that's when I realize that it's all a dream, you're shadow starts to fade away, I dont give up though i reach again for you're warmth as i cry into the night, I want to scream and I want to run to catch up to you, but with every step you become farther from my grasp, as I run out of breath I evidently fall to the ground hopeless without you, I shake my head as I wake up and remember it's been a year since you've been gone
