I wished I may,
I wished I might,
though courage 'nough did I have, nigh,
spooned eve’nings lain,
sly mornings dashed,
most wondrous moments that I've had,
shared toggled gaze,
blink, sun then moon
whilst leaping tongues shared breathing pools,
lapped willowed necks,
sweat, salt and steam,
pinched bottoms bare, both real and dream,
no thought or flex
pulled each us near,
seems gravity we commandeered,
we soared on waves
of cosmic lust
then supernovas blast to dust,
yet bodies lost
through space and time,
our souls retained our friendship's bind,
you voyage one,
I voyage two,
our signals cross darkside of moon,
coordinates
for love not known
nor if still bound through blood and bone,
perhaps the blaze
we set to sky
was far too rare for second try,
no way to guess
or calculate
odds of success or failure rate,
let come what may
of distance closed,
no pressure to leap blind and bold,
content with you
just where you are,
not stood too near nor stood too far,
should hints there be
some starry night
that shared love may take second flight,
then think I may,
then think I might,
chance orbit 'tward your satellite.
