What has happened to the earth?
Ravaged plundered and bought her
Ripped and raped her hills
Tied her up with correctional fences
Polluted our fair sister
Stuck her with shovels until the dawn
I hear a very mellow sound
Trembling and shaking
Her skies are of the acid tears
Made her waters sullen
A victim of circumstances
