A smile appears on my face ,
when I see your figure come into view.
I lied when I said I had no reason coming here today
Truth is ,
I've come to see how you doing.
To see your smile -
to know that you're happy
With or without me ,
your happiness means the world to me.
My feet drag me to you.
To hug you ,
to tell you how much I've missed you.
I eagerly wait to reach you -
only for you to pass me and hug the person behind me.
I'm still.
I'm cold.
I'm disappointed.
I stand there -
flabbergasted at your arrogance.
You don't notice me and so ,
I turn and leave -
with a little hope that you might call me back.
You never do.
On my way home ,
I reminisce about our glory days.
You've helped me ,
and I have helped you.
We were two peas in a pod.
It's funny -
you were the one who said ,
One should forgive and forget.
Well...You are forgetting -
you forgetting me.
Our journey together were the best years of my life -
but it has sadly come to its end.
