Life can be cruel and so unkind
Some folks have too much, some have to find
Poverty, racism, insecurities and war
Sometimes hope is unreachable like a distant star
But the journey goes on, no time to retreat
Strive hard to win, obstacles to defeat
People can take away all the wealth and beliefs
Yet our strength and faith are our greatest gifts
We learn to rise up and back after falling
We shine brighter after the dark tried to consume everything
We can beat the odds by continuing the fight
One day it will make sense, we're all gonna be all right.
