Outside After Midnight

Outside after midnight
Hours from daylight
Might need a flashlight
There's not even moonlight
A few random headlights
Can see only a few streetlights
The sky is full of starlight
Up the street is a stop sign
All this I can see with my eyesight
A friend passing by is my highlight
She was walking along the roadside
She couldn't stay so I said goodnight
The bugs are out, the only downside
I think I will go in and rest my backside
I will walk upstairs and go back inside
The end of this poem has been implied
