Hours from daylight

Might need a flashlight

There's not even moonlight

I'm outside after midnight

Only darkness in my sight

A couple headlights

Many streetlights

Waiting for daylight

A few random headlights

Can see only a few streetlights

The sky is full of starlight

Up the street is a stop sign

I'm outside after midnight

Just blackness in my sight

A couple different headlights

Lots of streetlights

I will wait for daylight

All this I can see with my eyesight

A friend passing by is my highlight

She was walking along the roadside

She couldn't stay so I said goodnight

Sityinyv outside after midnight

I can't see anything in my sight

Occasionally a headlight

Plenty of streetlights

I'll just wait until daylight

The bugs around is the only downside

I think I will go in and rest my backside

I will walk get up now and go inside
