At the moment I'm fine is something I say at the end of every sunset, only to find myself back in tears when the ocean starts to glow. I won't say that this hurt has defined my day to day life, but it has written a story that I can't seem to erase. I can't even tell you who I am, because I am trying to hide this broken mirror, I borrowed this reflection from someone more confident. I took his shadow too, mine looked a bit too tired to walk around with me.
Like I said, I'm fine is something I say at the end of every sunset, only to find myself back in tears when the moon turns up. I won't say this hurt has left scars on me. But it's left the mark it always wanted, to remind that my birth was an I'm trying one more time. I was the kid standing in line to be made from love instead I got to be conceived for a chance. I was rushed down here from above to put a smile on someone who was only happy when he found out I was XY. At least an answered question in a prayer. But I still have a question mark in my heart. God do you see it?
Sunsets are the way we say goodbye for now... May the sun rise for us to speak again... Tomorrow.
