I stand out,
on the mountain edge.
The world looks so dull.
So depressing.
It is all gray.
Birds dont tweet.
Only the crows cry their horrible screech.
The fish in the river below dont jump out to play.
The Eagles don't soar like they did.
It kills my happiness seeing
the world so sad.
I turn back,
disappointed with what I saw.
I walk down the path,
only looking at the ground.
I avoid the dark World.
I just want to go home.
I get back to my tent,
and I climb inside.
I try to fall asleep,
but something in my mind,
something I cant name,
it keeps me awake.
And I remember,
I brought it with me.
I sit up, racing to put my boots on.
I run out of the tent.
At top speed,
I climb to the edge of the cliff.
I open my eyes,
and I start.
The mountains now are a shade of mahogany.
The grass is now a dry green.
The birds come out, all sorts of colors.
I take of my shoes and socks.
Backing up,
I run and jump of the cliff.
I feel the cold water around me.
I come up and look at the water.
It becomes a blue.
The trees are the last thing, but they won't color.
I go touch it, nothing. I splash the tree,
now it's colored.
I look around at what I made.
I love the world, I made it pretty.
I love the fact,
that the world is happy now.
