Time stands still, no matter how I plead
Ceased my laughter and brought me to my knees
My gorgeous granddaughter, full of life and love
Torn away before her future even arose
My heartbroken, my marrow cold
Unable to grasp her departure, sent tumbling in the deep
Without the solace of faith, a thought of afterlife
The pain of her absence cuts me so deep
Countless colors of life I kept in store
A kaleidoscope of joy, meant to paint her life
Dreams, ambitions and so much more
Grief ravishes, for her I pine
Sorrow holds one too tight, in an everlasting embrace
The sweetest love lingers, for time without a trace
She will forever be my sunshine, transcending my aching soul
Remembrance of her tenderness, I'll always hold
