Paper petals fall like snow
As you dance beneath the trees
Moving your body in and out
Of the birds and bumblebees.
As nature’s music moves you
You look up to the azure sky
And slowly you begin to rise
As you give your wings a try.
As you leave this holy ground
With beauty and with grace
I hope that you’ll return to me
Wearing silk and purple lace.
You have always been my angel
Who I’ve cherished in my heart
So even if you don’t come back
It won’t break my heart apart.
Instead I will celebrate our love
That we shared for sixteen years
But even if my heart doesn’t break
It’ll still flood my eyes with tears.
