(Warning: Long Poem)
These days are seen as a means to revitalize,
All of your dead weight wasted in shambles,
The veins have shown themselves in faceless outrage,
Screaming at faces that see you as a hero,
I let myself fall under the spell of your tongue,
Following blindly to a false wisdom,
Can you see?
What are we to do when the demons run us dry?
Do we take their shape and turn on our fathers?
Dim with bloodshot eyes you scratch away all the pain,
Hoping that high wont come down soon,
Lies are the weight holding this world down,
Why is hard for you to see me for me?
Did the worms have enough to chew off your plate?
The one you worked tirelessly to feast on,
If the parentless child has a mouth, eyes, lips and soul,
Shouldn't they be treated like a person?
A person of value like all of us,
Too seek serenity behind cold eyes,
High is the way we want to go down,
Deny and turn the cheek from the flame,
A million years will pass us by,
But our home will stay,
The fire is only as hot as the spirit is pure,
Give me a time where you once stood mighty and firm,
That you're not afraid,
Try to find your worth behind the mask you hide,
Distant from ever having to take action,
What a great laugh for those who follow,
While most of us do our best to see the same skies,
A sky we can be proud of to have blessed all of us from a good days hard work,
Dim light, lips fleeting,
Cold dilemma,
Didn't have to lie,
Didn't have the spine,
Frail remembrance,
Took away the sight,
Hiding from the light,
Deep obsession,
Given enough time,
We took it as a crime,
Bland confessions,
To be worthy...
