Out of the woodwork, through plastic disk's, strewn in the dust. Scratching extremities, searching for a reflection, a shiver deep inside sent me shivers, a sense of fever made me greedier. Over the fence the grass was greener, I jumped eyes closed, landed in the river, I couldn't have dreamt much bigger.
As I float downstream, a skeptic's dream is no longer seen, each time the river bends, a little more I mend. Not stranger to the cold and not too old, I flicked the habitual habitation of nature's radiation. Mind elation gave me plentiful plantation for neurological pathways, listened to what the teacher would say, I've survived yet another day.
Parkville is so far away, the river's bends led me far, far away. Even though I evolved a little today, tomorrow is a fresh day. A new way to plant my roots, like led boots stopping me floating far out of sight. I remain hidden in plain sight, new life brings with it tasty delights, so far away from fights, I row with my own might.
The puffing of the cold had gotten rotten and old, life in a fog of snow is like a blanket wrapped over a nefarious soul. Before things got too old, I stood tall and bold as I retook hold of my life, with a simple roll of the dice, my lucky numbers came up twice. Such was life back in 2018 I am proud to call me, me again.
