I used to speak to my homie, he was from Cameroon.
The highest IQ in his high school, college approaching soon.
We worked at the marketplace, learned from one another.
We looked out for us, called ourselves brothers.
We talked about accents, French & Spanish.
I was the older head, he was the young boss swaggin.
I remember we was taking out the trash, you said you was looking for another job.
I said "You should embrace your current disposition, it will make you strong".
We weren't dentists, but sharpening our wisdom is how we flossed.
In order to commit to our 9-5's, we strived at all costs.
You didn't know what your profession was going to be, you haven't figured out your passion.
I said "Life has no meaning without a sense of purpose, we don't realize it until our ego is suddenly damaged".
We are more inclined to define our life's mission..
When we realize complacency keeps us unfulfilled, that void drives us to instill what's missing.
