There is a bed beyond life's door
One day I will sleep like you too
But till I find what I'm looking for
I can't rest peacefully like you do
A wall stands at the end of this floor
One day I will scale it to be with you
And till I have no need for more
I will keep trying till one is finally two
A place awaits us beyond the shore
We will sail across when our time is due
But till our souls are without flaw
We will repaint love in all its hues.
A castle towers above the moor
What it promises we have no clue
But till the bards sing of us in lores
We will prod heaven to keep our spot anew.
So I'll take the misgivings of life and never a second mope
I'll embrace every affliction with fortitude
I'll mask my despairs with recurrent hope-
that a bed beyond life's door belongs to me and you.
