you loved me in the most brilliant shade of Peach. gentle and sweet.
I loved you with every shade of me.
every hue, I bore them all for you.
you adored the pastels, the soft and watered down colors of a morning sky. They blended nicely with the color of puppy love in your eyes.
My Yellows enveloped you in a cheery glow, and accented the warmth of your cheeks. you always said that you loved the sunshine in me.
My bashful Violet had you tugging on the locks of my hair, I'd hide behind my sweater and you would pull me by the sleeves.
but my deep Blue was too lonesome for you.
My oceans opened up and swallowed you whole. You thrashed violently against my ever changing tides, and landed ship wrecked on my shores. Salt in your lungs.
My crimson Red was too bold. too brazen.
I crackled and burned for you like a wild fire, but I never knew just when to pull away. My flames of passion licked and nipped at you until you were raw. The heat grew to be too much, and you began flenching away from my touch.
And then my Black began wrap its tendrils around what once was sweet. rot set in on your succulent peach.
until it decayed what was left and you felt nothing for me.
...you loved me in the most brilliant shade of peach. gentle and sweet.
I loved you with every shade of me.
now we are White. strangers. a blank sheet.
