Perfect Insanity

I could hear my heart beat fast and feel the tears dripping from my face.

Down my cheeks and lips onto my tongue, there it left a bitter taste.

Each drop that had impacted craters deeply within my tongue.

Left too a crater deeper, buried far inside my lung.

My skin turned white as snow as my eyes begun to turn grey.

All of this from two painful words you said, "go away".

As you slammed the door into my face, with him inside OUR home.

I walked the streets, crawled really; never feeling so useless and alone.

Whence I did stumble upon some railroad tracks, where I laid for many hours.

With thoughts of both you and he, thoughts that had all my mind devoured.

Until finally I saw the light nearly bright as the mid-summer day.

Drawing ever nearer to my face, who would have thought I would end this way.

And as soon as it had reached my head, all the pain that I had endured.

Returned to me seven fold, when I woke up to have found myself floored.

Inside a padded cell, a white jacket fitted just for me.

Until I restarted this movie in my mind, in this my perfect... insanity.
