I often wondered if it never bothered you,
The fact that you could never speak the truth.
Perfect liar, confident and strong.
Not even a moment did you think yourself wrong.
You would twist and turn and curl around
My every word and make it sound,
Like I was at fault or wrong again
When in fact it was you nine times out of ten.
People loved you and stared in awe,
The perfect being, he has no flaws.
But behind closed doors I knew the truth,
You stole my heart, my soul and youth.
But your lies and ego grew so big,
They fell tumbling in and left me sick.
The once perfect being,
The man without flaws,
Was now just a shadow of what he was before.
I'm not laughing,
But neither will I cry,
Because for once your perfect lies,
Won't touch my heart anymore.
