I read & recite my work if I can't memorize.
The nervous energy plays to my advantage, it won't jeopardize.
I make sure that my voice is raised.
Performance from the heart, I have no choice to blaze.
I take my time, word for word.
Electric pronunciation, I make sure they heard the surge.
Anxiety won't jeopardize, it plays to my advantage.
No worries of stuttering, crowd reception or the deception of a panic.
If you write what you feel, you might feel concerned..
..With how you're received, but it gives you an edge to be real & stern.
Just make sure you practice, before the stage.
I guarantee you'll stand out like a cactus during the actual performance phase.
