PHANTOM WOMAN

There's a sweet tale he spins for all who cared to listen
Of a phantom woman who once swayed about in his dreams
With eyes that glowed at him with motherly affection
And arms that welcomed him in a lover's embrace
Her presence, radiant and blissful, the source of far-reaching illumination.
Her voice, soft and melodious chased off night terrors.
I wonder if this phantom woman still walked dreams
Mine would be a fascinating new destination for her.
And I will be the best host and tour guide she has ever known
But I fear that if she ever tries to leave like she did his dreams
I might keep her entrapped, a prisoner of those dreams.
