I count the blinks of eyes
I count the beats of my heart
I count the tick-tock(s)
And end it with a broken smile
Of many why(s) sequencing after a heavy sigh
But my ears scrub still, the language of fear
My mind harbors the fragile teeth of courage,
Wrapped in the deep of unseen depth
The abode of my eyes are tears logged
As for the muse that birthed this poem,
T's a sour and soothing patch for being reclusive
Only the moon that sits at my window
Understands the taste of my darkness
This night has refused to crumble into my eyes
Her shell is like the hind feet of rhinoceros
And time, just like a pile of salt
Washed up by the Nile,
Has left me behind in countless miles
I count the blinks of eyes
I count the beats of my heart
I count the tick-tock(s)
And end it with a broken smile
Of many why(s) sequencing after a heavy sigh
The voices of my thoughts
Are like the colors of broken lines
The shadow of my tomorrow
Is like the locks of dread on Medusa's head
If only I could burn this fear
With my tears
If only I could.....
