- Pleading Prayer -

Please Lord forgive me, didnt quite give it all I had, left you so disappointed,
my family all so sad. If I could do it all over, knowing me I'd do the same, to see pictures of my family, me, I was left out the frame.
I pray to be a better father, between you and me, a son too, as you are the shepherd in life, this black sheep was sent to you. As I lie here in darkness, all my sins you please forgive, all reality starts to clear, there's no room in life for pretend.
As again starting over, look to you when times get hard, should've leaned on you all along, these deep cuts, would be no scars. As I pray, then I see, insane thoughts come to light, stuck in a hole with no rope, no help there in sight.
You said, nomore than you can can bare, but this weight is like a boulder, I'll lift my chin to the skies, I'll prove you a faithful soldier. I pray to you Lord, to please cleanse this blackened soul, if I carry it to the streets of gold, I'll never afford the toll. For I see you've cleansed my heart, the world is love to tell, it's all just a choice in life, a pleading prayer from a cell. veeplee1
